Some results of an investigation of Be-star spectra in the near infrared
In the present study, spectrograms obtained with a dispersion of 48 A/mmare used to study the spectra of 16 Be-stars in the near infrared. Itappears that Be-stars may be grouped into stars with strong Paschenabsorption lines, stars with complex absorption and emission profiles ofCa II and Paschen lines, and stars with emission lines. The intensity ofemission in the lines of the infrared Ca II triplet is shown to bedefined by the excitation temperature of the envelopes, and does notderive from the duality of Be-stars.
